Bortolomiol Ius Naturae: a Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore where nature and art come together

04 September 2025

At the heart of Bortolomiol’s wine tourism experience is Ius Naturae – an organic Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.

This sparkling wine is tasted outdoors, surrounded by contemporary artworks in the Parco della Filandetta – Wine & Art Farm. Here, the link between nature and art takes shape as a powerful expression of the dialogue between humans and the natural world.

The organic vineyard where Ius Naturae is born stands as a symbol of Bortolomiol’s long-standing sustainability efforts – a wine that reflects the winery’s commitment to its land and to protecting the Prosecco Superiore DOCG hills, now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Visitors can stroll through the vineyard immersed in the greenery of the Parco della Filandetta, walking among sculptures, artworks, and the historic Hornbeam Lane (Viale dei Carpini). This is also where the Bortolomiol family restored and revived an early 20th-century silk mill once run by women. Today, that same building has become a spacious tasting and hospitality area, where guests can enjoy a glass of Prosecco Superiore and explore the story of a winery led by women.

Alongside the vineyard live the bees – precious sentinels and guardians of the vineyard’s health. They are part of the EnoBee – bees in the vineyard project. In spring and summer, each hive houses around 70–80,000 bees, producing excellent honey rich in vine pollen – clear proof that beekeeping and viticulture can coexist in harmony.
