Podere Rocche dei Manzoni was founded by Valentino Migliorini in 1974 in Monforte d’Alba, the Barolo zone of Piedmont, where all their vineyards are today.

The winery owns sixty hectares (150 acres) in some of the best land surrounding the village. Located in UNESCO World Heritage territory, the winery itself is architecturally stunning, opening up to a grand, circular entryway with a vaulted ceiling and starburst mosaic with the winery’s crest in the center. Since their foundation, Valentino Migliorini has always proven himself to be a great innovator. He experimented with new vines and new winemaking techniques, and he strongly believed in the territory’s potential, creating new products along with the most traditional ones of the area. In fact, he was the first producer in the Langhe to make a Metodo Classico sparkling wine in 1978.

The wines of Podere Rocche dei Manzoni represent the perfect union of tradition and innovation. In fact, the winery demonstrated itself to be a pioneer in 1976 when they produced the first blended wine of the Langhe. Only two years later in 1978, they were the first winery in the area to use French oak barrels to age their wines. The winery is famous not only for their Barolo, but also for some of the best Metodo Classico sparkling wines of the region.
