Private Guided Winery Tour at Poderi delle Rocche
Winery
It was 1995 when three friends, Ettore, Paolo and Roberto, decided to join forces and embark upon an important project: a new Wine-making enterprise able to innovate
and develop the territory.
It was with this commitment that Cantina Poderi delle Rocche was established. Farsighted in their approach to wine-making, the three partners highlighted the qualities
of the raw materials, the complexity of the Albana and native grape varieties of their land, by creating wines with precious characteristics.
Research into leading-edge vinification techniques and continuous quality improvements have not deprived the product of the traditional manual skills required.
All the processes are performed by the partners, with help from their employees and family members. Thus each bottle of wine is transformed into a quality product and is
personally checked.
Poderi delle Rocche wine is the tangible result of the passion with which the land between Dozza, Linaro and Montecatone is cultivated. The chemical-physical composition
of the soil and its exposure to sunlight help the vines to grow in a healthy, thriving way and give rise to little works of art.
Cantina Poderi delle Rocche continues to develop and to grace their tables with the engaging smile of the lands of Romagna.

Private Guided Winery Tour at Fattoria Monticino Rosso
Fattoria Monticino Rosso is a family-run winery founded in 1965 by Antonio Zeoli who bought an initial thirteen hectares vineyard parcel. In the following
years his sons Luciano and Gianni, who are now leading the business, came up beside Antonio, and in 1985 the family acquired another twenty-four-hectares
parcel called “Monticino Rosso”, from which the whole farmstead name is derived.
Monticino winery rises among the hills of Imola, next to the border of the town of Dozza, where the production of the sparkling wines from Emilia gives way to
the firm and wild wines from Romagna. “Monticino Rosso” was already clearly identified in the cadastral acts edited during the Napoleonic era under the name
of “Monticino dei meli granati” (“the pomegranates’ hill”) and for a century at least was owned by the noble Imolese family Codronchi Torelli, whose wealth
and culture allowed for the landscape to be shaped harmonically.
And it is with gratitude to those who owned and loved these lands, preserving the tradition of cultivating native grapes, that Luciano and Gianni Zeoli wanted to
give the name of “Codronchio” to one of their most significant wines, a selection of dry Albana di Romagna.

Enjoy free time to walk through the Medieval village of Dozza
The Medieval village of Dozza, one of the 100 “Borghi più belli d’Italia” is located south of Bologna, on the crest of a gentle hill dominating
the Sellustra river valley.
In Dozza, art becomes part of the urban landscape, through the decoration of house walls, streets and squares, illuminating the corners of the village
with light and bright colours.
It’s a real open-air museum, where you can admire more than one hundred works by several contemporary prestigious artists.
Its historical centre, perched a top the hill, maintains its original Medieval structures including the imposing Rocca Sforzesca (Dozza Castle).
The Rocca houses a museum that recounts the history of the village and the Centro Studi e Documentazione del Muro Dipinto (Painted Wall Study
Centre),
that includes sketches, archives, and bibliographic documents about the city’s painted walls.
Dozza hosts the Biennale of contemporary art of the Muro Dipinto that takes place every two years on the third week of September.
