Work with us

What we’re looking for

Insider advice, travel inspiration, and personal stories that speak to wine lovers and travelers to Italy.

The content we’re looking to publish will let travelers and wine lovers explore Italy in its many aspects (art, culture, food, beverage, outdoors) in ways connected to wine territories. This means tying into wine regions and destinations, including wine pairing tips, or suggesting wines, according to our supporting wineries. Read through our posts to get a sense of what we mean.

Our goal is to build a brand of quality with the wineries who support our project. The key thing about them is that they guarantee a high level of quality, both in their wines and in their hospitality, while remaining family wineries. We’re not interested in branded content that openly sponsors our partners, but in your stories and personal experiences related to the territories.

Guidelines

How to Submit: Guidelines and Formatting

Send your original draft to submissions@thegrandwinetour.com with SUBMISSION in the subject line. The article should be between 700 and 1200 words long; if your writing is exceptional, we will consider a higher or lower word count. Please include your article as an attached Word document to the email.

Review our categories and destinations and specify which your article belongs to.

If you’d like, include a catchy title! We also love concise headlines throughout the text.

Please do NOT embed photos within the text. Indicate if they are available upon request. If they can be found online (such as your Flickr gallery), include a link to the photo(s).

Relevant and helpful links are important, so please add at least three. Feel free to link to your own blog or website if you have one.

Include a brief bio at the end of your article (max 450 characters) and a profile picture. If you’d like, add your website or blog if you have one, and any social media names.

You will hear back from us within two weeks of submitting. If you haven’t, give us a little nudge by contacting us again; but please wait at least a month.

Publishing rights

Editing and publishing rights

We might change the title of your article to improve SEO or for other reasons (but including a title helps us!). We will edit your work for content and clarity, doing our best to preserve your voice.

If we publish your article on our website, we ask that you do not republish it on your own blog or on other websites, as this harms traffic to the websites of all parties involved. Of course, we encourage you to share it on as many social media accounts as you wish, and writing a description or excerpt on your own blog or website (with a link to the original) is welcomed.

We gain all rights when you submit your photography, including cropping, editing, and distribution through social media; we will credit the photo (and you will retain your rights to your own photography).
